DSU’S GAURAV’S 91 ENSURED VICTORY IN SUPER DIVISION CRICKET

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 9th March, 2016: Today in the Super division cricket league of SMKP, Young Men’s Association (YMA) played with DSU which was held at Chandmoni Open Cricket stadium. DSU won the toss and elected to bat first. In the first innings DSU scored a callosal 239 runs in 41 overs losing 6 wickets. Gaurav Barua scored 91 runs missing the century by 9 runs. In reply YMA in the second half scored only 190 runs in 41 overs losing 4 wickets. Thus DSU won the match today by 49 runs. However, today’s show stealer was Gaurav Barua, the wicketkeeper-batsman of DSU who scored 90 runs in his blistering innings before getting out to Sudeep Sarker of YMA. As expectedly, Gaurav was declared the Man of the match for his outclass performance. The MOM trophy was handed over to him by Mantu Mishra.
